Seven Threads Framework™
MEET THE FOUNDER
Lisa
Maxine
Lisa Maxine is the creator of the Seven Threads Framework™ and founder of Seven Threads Collective, LLC™. Drawing from decades of experience in education, mental health, advocacy, and organizational systems, she developed the framework to help people understand the full context of who they are—not simply the challenges they face, but the experiences, memories, relationships, systems, and beliefs that have shaped their lives.
Her work is grounded in a simple but transformative philosophy:
No person can be understood apart from the context that shaped them. But understanding is not the destination—it is the beginning of authorship. We believe every person has the opportunity to write a story that reflects who they truly are, rather than simply living the one that was imposed upon them.

Through the Seven Threads Framework™, Lisa invites individuals, organizations, and communities to move beyond labels and assumptions toward a deeper understanding of the whole person. By recognizing how each thread contributes to identity, people gain the insight to reclaim their narrative, make intentional choices, and author a future aligned with their values, purpose, and potential.
Understanding the Whole Person™ is more than a tagline—it is an invitation to discover the story beneath the surface, reclaim the narrative that is truly yours, and write the chapters still to come.

Understanding the Whole Person
The Seven Threads Framework™ is the foundation of Seven Threads Collective. It is a human-centered framework designed to help individuals and organizations understand people in context rather than through isolated experiences, labels, or assumptions.
We believe that every life is woven from seven interconnected threads. Each thread contributes to the story of who we are, and none can be fully understood in isolation. Together, they reveal the authentic narrative of a person's life.
The framework is not about asking, "What's wrong?" It begins with a different question:
"Who are you?"
The Seven
Threads
01
Experience
The events, milestones, and defining moments that have shaped your life—from childhood through the present.
02
Memory
The stories you carry, the meanings you've assigned to your experiences, and the memories that continue to influence how you see yourself and the world.
03
Identity
The beliefs, values, roles, and sense of self that have emerged from your lived experiences.
04
Relationships
The people who nurtured, challenged, supported, influenced, or wounded you, and the ways those relationships continue to shape your life.
05
Systems
The families, schools, workplaces, communities, institutions, and cultural environments that have created opportunities, barriers, and expectations throughout your journey.
06
Consciousness
The awareness you develop as you begin recognizing patterns, questioning assumptions, and understanding yourself with greater clarity and intention.
07
Future
The story you choose to write moving forward. With greater understanding comes the opportunity to live intentionally rather than reactively.
Why It Matters
Most Approaches Focus On One Part Of A Person's Story
The Seven Threads Framework™ recognizes that people cannot be understood through a single experience, diagnosis, achievement, or label. Lasting understanding emerges when we consider the complete picture—how each thread interacts with the others across a lifetime.
Whether you are seeking personal growth, supporting others, leading an organization, or making decisions that affect people's lives, understanding the whole person leads to deeper insight, stronger relationships, and more meaningful outcomes.
More Than a Framework
The Seven Threads Framework™ is more than a model for reflection. It is an invitation to see yourself—and others—with greater depth, curiosity, and compassion.
Because every life is woven from many threads.
Understanding begins when each one is seen, honored, and understood.

Self-Paced
Course
The Seven Threads Framework™ Self-Paced Course is a guided journey of reflection designed to help you understand the complete story of who you are. Through seven carefully structured modules, you'll explore the experiences, memories, relationships, identities, systems, consciousness, and future that have shaped your life.
Unlike courses that focus on changing your behavior before understanding its origins, Seven Threads begins with context. Each lesson combines guided instruction, reflective writing, and practical exercises that help you uncover patterns, connect the threads of your life, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
You'll move through the course at your own pace, allowing time for meaningful reflection rather than rushing toward completion. This is not about finding the "right" answers—it's about discovering the authentic narrative that has always existed beneath assumptions, expectations, and labels.
By the end of the course, you won't simply know more about yourself. You'll understand how your story was woven, recognize the connections that have shaped your life, and be empowered to intentionally author the story you choose to live next.
For writers, storytellers, and aspiring authors, the Seven Threads Framework™ offers something even deeper. Every compelling story begins with understanding. As you uncover the threads that have shaped your own life, you gain the clarity to write with greater authenticity, empathy, and purpose. Whether you're writing memoir, fiction, poetry, or thought leadership, the most powerful stories emerge when they are rooted in truth—not merely the facts of what happened, but the deeper narrative of who you have become.
Understanding your own story is empowering. It gives you the confidence to write with authenticity, the wisdom to recognize the narratives you've inherited, and the freedom to author the one that truly belongs to you.
When you understand your own story, you don't simply become a better writer.
You become empowered to tell the story only you can tell.
